The Postgraduate Medical Education Council of Queensland (PMCQ) is undertaking an extensive review of the Intern Accreditation System introduced in 2008. This review will encompass the following components of the current Accreditation System:
 
·         Accreditation Principals
·         Accreditation Standards
·         Accreditation Processes
·         Accreditation Documentation
 
This will ensure that our standards are appropriately supportive of quality Intern education and training delivered by healthcare organisations.
 
The outcome of the 2009 Accreditation Review shall be a report that includes the observations and recommendations arising from your feedback. Additionally, feedback shall be gathered from the following sources:
1.      Facilities surveyed in 2008 and 2009
2.      Surveyors active in 2008 and 2009
3.      The PMCQ Accreditation Committee
4.      PMCQ Accreditation staff
5.      State and Federal Stakeholders

To assist, we have created this dedicated review component to the PMCQ web page. It contains all current accreditation policy, process and documents for your review and a link to the online evaluation tool.
 
It will be important to review the documentation, to ensure you understand the particular component you have elected to evaluate.
 
There are two options for submitting comments:
Option 1: Use the electronic "Survey Monkey" program. We recommend providing feedback this way if you have internet access to assist with data collection and analysis. This option allows you to use tick box options as well as free text space to comment on part, or all of the standards. Access to this online evaluation is via link:

Option 2: If you are unable to access the Survey Monkey website, use the Word version of the evaluation and supporting documentation to provide feedback. This is available on CD Rom, from the Accreditation Team. You will need to email the team to request your CD Rom –                AccTeam@pmcq.com.au
